Intention Tool 13

Intention tool made from the carved tip of a goat horn and two quartz crystals. About 6-3/4 inches long.

The goat horn tip has a teardrop-shaped cross-section that spirals around for one-half of a turn from end to opening. The solid part (the ridge formed by the pointy end of the teardrop) is carved to blend into the opening, and also carved with a series of shaped holes, blending into texturing, along its length. The entire horn part has been smoothed, given a satin polish, and then a hand-rubbed beeswax finish.

The planes of the larger crystal harmonize with the curve of the carved horn. The crystals are held in the horn with a slurry of clear glass beads, black glass microbeads, and glue. The larger crystal contains visible internal structures that are too subtle to show in this scan. The smaller crystal contains very tiny black inclusions too small to show in this scan.
