The bug persists. A few days ago I had a terrible headache and got very little sleep. And when I did sleep, I had dreams about having a headache (in one of the dreams, the headache was caused by having a small, three-compartmented, tin box imbedded in the right side of my skull). Some pain pills and a humidifier have taken care of that. I'm only coughing occasionally now, but still not feeling strong or very coherent.
----------

I spent a day being an election clerk at my local precinct's polling place. It's easy, mostly sitting, work. But a 16-hour day. Then I got about twelve hours sleep. My favorite name on the voter roster this year is Mohan Ganeshalingam. Runner up is Jerry Coe.
----------

Since people keep asking me about how I carve stuff, especially skulls, and I keep encouraging people to do carving work if they want to, I'm starting a gallery entry on the subject, which I intend to keep improving.

I got started carving skulls because a friend of mine gave me an old, damaged, coyote skull that had washed out of a red clay bank in the spring rains. I got started carving stones because she thought I should make beads out of bits of driftglass found while we were beachcombing. She found me a deal on a pipemaker's antler scraps, and I started carving antler. I started with simple, easy things, and just kept going. (I could tell this story at greater length, with more detail, but the moral is the same.)

The moral of ... just start doing something, and eventually you figure it out? Yep, that sounds right to me ;)

Get well!

Well... start and keep on going, don't get discouraged. Research through books and talking to people and so on certainly helps, but _doing_ is the important thing. :)

Last night I dreamth that I was chased around by people while trying to escape the nuthouse. Haven't got a clue as to how that got into my subconsious.

About this virus going around. It's saps your strength. Keep hydrated and pace yourself. It has been the only virus in a long time that actually scared me. I looked at the calender and realized it lingered off and on for almost six weeks with me.

Keep from getting chilled too. That's real important.

Take care of your self.
I'm much better now!

Yes, I understand on the virus. I also had "the crud" and I started to take Zircam (SP?) for it. It's really really good stuff. It really helped me get over it quite a bit faster....but I did get soe rest and I did get to work on my art in the meantime! :)

Take care, Don. If you try Over The Counter medications, make sure they aren't going to cause problems with any other medications you might be taking. As we've been recently reminded, that can kill you.

I've been taking medications only as needed, and reading the fine print. And having someone else read the fine print, too. Mainly staying warm, rested, and hydrated.
