Made from a Bone Clone (tm) cast resin wolf skull replica. I textured, carved, and stained it, added bone disks strung on rough hemp twine, and inset an oval of dark mother of pearl.
This is part of a set of "ancient werewolf tribal ceremonial items" I was commissioned to make for a live action roleplaying game group. |

Resin carves entirely differently from real bone. This particular resin is neither so hard and brittle that it chips a lot (like some casting resins I've worked with), nor so soft that it gums up drills and bits (like styrene does if carved too fast or with dull tools).
