Artist's Comments

Pendant carved from a teakwood disk, about 1-3/4 inches in diameter. Front and back views.

Stylized wolf pawprint carved, undercut, textured, and stained with a walnut-based ink; back is roughcarved in arcs, then smoothed for a nice feel. Hand-rubbed beeswax finish.

It reminds me of a 'creation myth' I read a long time ago <3 where mountains were made becuase coyote stepped in the wet earth and slid. <3

Thank you. :) The design is fairly simple, but it's cut in four stages to get the effect I wanted.

ok, first im going to express my thoughts about this wonderful artwork in estonian, and then ill translate:)
Ilus ja hingemattev, amulett. Mul tekib tunne et see kaitseb mind isegi praegu, mis sest et see pole tehtud mulle ja on minust väga kaugel.

oh ... breathtaking (´futher translation would be pointless, cant speak english so well)

"Beautiful and breathtaking amulet" for the first part, I guess, but the second part is baffling; it looks subtle and poetic, though. :)
