Watching Stone Pendant by DonSimpson Watching Stone Pendant by DonSimpson
Pendant made from a black stone pebble; about one inch wide, 5/8 inch thick. Layered agate "eye" bead inserted from the back to show through smaller hole in the front, and sealed in with clear glass microbeads. Cord tunnel through top of stone just far enough back not to show in this photo.

This isn't the same stone as in the bolo is it?
The eye is much more pronounced. I like it. It has a mythical/cosmic creature look to it. I like that stone material. It looks very modern, but ancient at the same time.

No, different stone. I'm wearing that bolo tie this very day, and carrying the pendant in a box.

a keyhole instead of a plain hole would've made it look really wicked ...

I still love it though ..it has a touch of mystery with the smooth dark stone and the white contrasting eye...

Carving a keyhole-shaped opening in the stone would have been much more complicated (plus, I didn't think of it :) ).

I do have a brass keyhole plate that I've been wondering what to do with....

(i had no idea it would be hard but now that you mention it ).

I really do think it looks nice like this...

(was a bit overloaded in the morning at work so linguinstic communication was failing me :P ... first time i ever use wicked .. . probably better if this is the last)

Good luck on your next quest to sell your work :)
