Two pendants set with eyes.
The pendant on the left is carved from fossil walrus ivory, with a commercial glass taxidermy eye set from the back. About one inch high. The pendant on the right is carved from bone, with a commercial cast resin eye* (intended for use in model dragons) set from the back. A tiny bit over 2-1/4 inches high. Both pendants stained with walnut ink and sealed with beeswax mixture. *To be exact, this is a 19mm Black Dragon eye from *CozmicDreamer -- I got a couple of these with my order from her Etsy shop [link] but you can get to all her locations from her main web site, Dreaming Tree Studio [link] ~~~ The cast resin eyes are flatter than glass ones, but the color and detail in the irises is amazing; the Black Dragon eye has a moving sheen of color that the picture cannot do justice to. |
