Artist's Comments

Pendant made from a totally black ebony slab, carved, and with a high quality taxidermist's wolf eye inserted from the back and held in place with a layer of walnut wood. The eye is free to move _very_ slightly.

Photo by Melissa Mork, known here as ~Falco-sparverius.

Daily DeviationRaveneye by *DonSimpson is a handmade unique ebony pendant. The depth and flow of the carving is beautiful and eye makes this piece of jewlery a little creepy and interessting. (Suggested by ~enui and Featured by `Myana)

Thank you. :)

The pendants with eyes that I've done are more or less creepy (which is more or less what was intended); I keep wondering if there is a way to do one that is non-creepy, which I think would be neat.
How much?

Now this one I don't remember. When did you carve this one?

Wow, that is absolutely stunning! I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again - your work is truly inspiring!
Melissa Mork owns it; I traded it to her for some silver pendants of winged creatures; hawk, cat, and hyena; which I wear a lot. She's very good, but she doesn't have a page on devianART (yet).
I think this was done about a year and a half ago, and I had it on display at one convention immediately afterward, where it found someone before I could get a photo.
I'm having a hard time visualizing that. OK, draw it up and I'll take a look, but I might not be able to make such a thing.
