Limpet Jewel Pendent by DonSimpson Limpet Jewel Pendent by DonSimpson
Pendant made from a limpet shell, about 1-3/4 inches high.

Central hole is reshaped, all edges are smoothed and repolished. Just inside the central hole is a pale purple glass "jewel" backed with a layer of bright purple microbeads. The cord holes are visible in the upper part of the shell.

I like this one... it looks quite spacey. For whatever reason, the sea and outer space always seem to connect in my mind.

God Don this is beautiful !
It's EXACTLY what I've been trying to make in stainless...
Now I know it's got to be in bronze...

Bravo Don!
I love those limpet shells.
I tryed many time to hole and insert half precious stones on those cones and other specie's ones, but never get this balanced result......

do you mind if i "steal" this somewhat?
i have some sea urchin skeletons that i haven't found a use for...i think i could adapt this concept around them.
and, if you couldn't tell, i love this piece.

Quite an intriguing design, Don! Now you have me wondering how a piece would look if the center hole were larger. Hmmm...*goes limpet hunting*;)
