A quartz crystal set in an antelope horn. Overall length about 6-1/2 inches. Fill for the join is 1/50 inch diameter black glass microbeads. The crystal has a very unusual natural shape (to my eye it has an illusory spiraling look when seen in 3-D, though it is all flat planes at the standard quartz angles).

A wand is a type of intention tool, and so (sometimes) is a crystal (with or without a handle). Is this a wand, or a crystal with a handle?

It's a pretty, simple wand or a pretty, ornate crystal with a handle. I like it.
I really hope you continue to do pieces like this with different types of horn and crystal. I've never seen it done before, but it's amazing.
Well, This horn and crystal seemed to really belong together. I did do another, though, with a smaller horn and a small, cloudy white crystal. It was part of a set of two, the other part being a pale antler tine with a small, clear, dark crystal. I don't have a picture of that set, though.
Was this a commission, a sale piece, or just a personal one? It's /terribly/ satisfying. And you're right about the crystal, it does look like it twists.
Love the mix of organic and mineral, clear and opaque, light and dark. It makes for a wonderful combination!
