Carved bobcat skull, set with a bone bead. India ink stain; microcrystalline wax finish; added cord with two large, old, Tibetan bone beads; jaw hinged with artificial sinew to open and close. About 5-1/5 inches long.
Break it with 'talking'? Probably. For a lot of talking, it would need a springy hinge, and maybe be on a staff (or at least a stick) with a lever. Hmmm. There are possibilities....
This is a large bobcat, the skull is about 5-1/2 inches long. I think it would be possible to hold it and manipulate the jaw, just using one hand. But it would likely be awkward.
I have a friend who does magic and puppet shows for children. I suspect he would not use Bob, The Dead Cat.

I don't know how big bobcats are- I thought I'd just put my fingers in it somehow.
Then we'd travel around putting on Sunday school shows for small children...

Maybe he wouldn't, but I think Billy Bone Bobcat and I could widen the eyes of children everywhere!
And then dampen them.
And then redden them...
Hmmmmm. I must consider this. I may have to make....
Oooooooh, doitdoitdoit!
