Antler Helix with Quartz Crystal by DonSimpson Antler Helix with Quartz Crystal by DonSimpson
Deer antler tine set with a dark gray natural quartz crystal having complex facets, 2-1/2 inches long. Antler carved and stained, with hand-rubbed beeswax finish. Crystal set with a slurry of glue and black glass microbeads. Cord tunnel through upper part of antler portion.

Reminds me of a captive ball carving, very neat, and different than your skulls. I would imagine you are using a foredom for your carvings?

This was done mainly with the Foredom, cleanup and detailing with the micromotor.

this is impressive. got some antler tips lying around somewhere... and if there's someone telling that's the magic crystals that got to be carved, I'll carve them crystals right up!
